Are you an extreme couponer or just want to be one? Facebook offers groups where you can like the company or product and they will offer you printable coupons for so much off.
If you’ve spent any time on Facebook, you’ve probably noticed the number of companies offering discounts, coupons and freebies if you will simply “like” their page. There is a reason these companies invest in this type of mass media effort. It is effective.
First, the customer likes the company website. A post goes up on the customer’s wall that states that they like XYZ Product. According to Facebook Statistics, the average Facebook user has around 130 friends. About half of all users log in every day, so you have the potential to reach at least 65 people every time someone “likes” your page. If any of those people like your page to get the coupon, the number doubles and so on. You can see how this could quickly turn into a viral marketing situation that has big rewards for your company.
Even if your company is not global, offering coupons can benefit your bottom line. Local users will have at least some friends who also live locally and your information will reach these users.
If you haven’t already added Facebook coupons to your marketing strategy, consider where this could take your business in the next year.
